Pierre and the Storm
Pierre Meow thought he had a perfect life. He had a cozy house, a roaring fire, and a pile of books.
It was snowing in Paw Village. It snowed and snowed and snowed... it had snowed for three weeks and the drifts were up to Pierre's windowsills.
Pierre pulled his red blanket tighter around his shoulders. He was deep into "The Mystery of the Disappearing Cats" when...
he heard a soft "Thump!"
His heart skipped a beat.
It was very dark outside.
The wind howled.
"No," thought Pierre, "must have been my imagination!" He turned the page.
There it was again! Two "Thumps!"
He flinched and his whiskers trembled.
And then he heard...
a squeak??

Ziti and the Banana
“You’re too small!” said Chester. Chester knew what size a guard should be!
Chester was the Director of the Pawtown Museum.
Ziti knew she was small. She was, after all, only slightly larger than a mole, but she was a lot faster and braver.
“I’m fast and brave!” she said.
“How about the janitor job?” asked Chester. He wondered if they had a small broom anywhere.
“It’s a start!” yipped Ziti.
They gave her a mop and a broom and a feather duster. Then she was given her uniform. Ziti’s ears fell.
“No cap?” she whispered. She loved the navy blue cap with the gold stripe that the Guard Dogs wore!
But still, Ziti was excited to work at the museum. She zipped in and out of all the galleries, mopping and dusting.
One day, Chester called a Special Meeting.
“I am thrilled that the Pawtown Museum has been given a very special painting. Voilá!”
He unveiled a teeny tiny painting. Everyone gasped. It was a painting of a banana!

Max and Pierre
"Oh Max, wouldn't it be great to travel? See the world?" meowed Pierre.
"Travel? You mean leave Paw City?" squeaked Max. His voice trembled.
“Yes!” cried Pierre. “New York, London, Paris!”
“Paris!” chimed Max, trying to sound brave.
The next day, something amazing happened.
“Breaking News!” screamed the TV. “The Paw City Museum has announced an Art Contest.
Fabulous Prizes. First Prize – Trip to Paris!”
“Max, let’s try to win!” cried Pierre. “Paris!”
